Sewing Classes:

Tuesday and Friday: 9.30 am - 1.00 pm. Everyone in the group gets to sew whatever she likes, with a tutor's guidance.

You will learn how use a sewing machine, take measurements, adjust patterns to fit, cut a variety of fabrics and construct a complete garment.

This course will suit everyone, from absolute beginners through to experienced sewers.

B.Y.O:

Pins, scissors, patterns and material.Cost: $25.00 per term

Coffee, Craft and Conversation:

Bring a craft (a chance to complete those unfinished projects!), meet new people; enjoy coffee and conversation and some time out for you.

Cooking and craft workshops can be arranged at different times through out the year.

Monday: 10.00 am - 12 noon.

Body Toning Class

Start 2012 by Keeping Fit and Healthy at Dayspring Trust - Care Centre - make new friends in a fun and motivational environment.

Sessions will be a combination of:

Professional Painting Classes

Dayspring introduces Natacha Hunter: Natacha is married with 6 children. Art has always been a large part of Natacha's life, having gained a BA of Fine Arts from Elam School of fine arts, she went on to gain a Diploma of Teaching from Auckland Teachers Training College. Natacha's love of Art is coupled with her love for teaching, and has taught both primary and secondary school children as well as private tutoring. Natacha has experience with a wide variety of art forms from drawing and painting to screen printing and flax weaving and has taken part in various exhibitions and continues to produce and sell her own art work.

You will learn to:

Draw:

  • Outline
  • Shading/tone
  • How to create a 3D image on a 2D plain.
  • Texture
  • Composition
Paint Using:
Water Colours, Arcrylic and Oils.

Clearing Anger - Stage 1: RESTORE
Restore facilitates awareness of inner resources and healing capacity and builds emotional stability, anger control, inter -personal skills and self esteem, and personal safety.
Starts: Tuesdays 9.30 am - 1.30 pm, 7th February to 27th March 2012

NEW Clearing Anger for Men only- Stage 2: RESOLVE
Resolve addresses anger management, relationship break-down, family violence, poor parenting practice, neglect and abuse, allowing adults to reach deep within and resolve issues that have kept them following destructive patterns of thought, feelings and behaviour.
Starts: Thursdays 9.30 am - 1.30 pm, 9th February to 29th March 2012

Clearing Anger - Stage 3: RECONNECT
Do you long...to be set free to love those you care about the most and receive the love yuou have longed for? Once you've completed Restore and Resolve you are welcome to participate in Reconnect, the third stage of the Clearing Anger programmes. Reconnect offers resolution for wounds from childhood that may be causing pain through unresolved childhood issues, fuelling various addictions, depression, eating disorders and painful relationships.
Starts: Mondays 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, 13th February to 2nd April 2012
